I love love love matcha powder! I love the taste of tea and matcha is just that, a perfect, strong green tea flavour. Onto the superfood side of things matcha is packed with antioxidants, has calming effects, increases energy and metabolism and detoxifies the body, amongst many other great things!
So eat matcha & drink matcha! Half a teaspoon with hot water and almond milk…

MATCHA POWDER & COCONUT BLISS BALLS
(16 pieces)

1 cup dates soaked 3 hours in freshly boiled water
1 cup desiccated coconut
1/4 cup raw cashews
1 tsp matcha green tea powder + 1 tsp for coating

In a food processor fitted with the S blade, blend coconut, cashews and matchainto a powder.
Drain the dates but do not squeeze the water out, add to the food processor mix and blend till a sticky dough forms. There may be some date pieces left in the mix but that is okay.
Using a teaspoon, scoop out some mixture and roll into balls with wet hands.

Place the bliss balls in a dehydrator at 65°C for 2 hours. If you do not have a dehydrator place the bliss balls in the oven on the lowest setting possible for 2 hours, or avoid this step all together but keep the bliss balls in the fridge in order to keep them firm. The dehydrating process allows you to keep them at room temperature without them getting overly soft.

Once they are dry and firm roll the bliss balls into matcha powder and YOU.ARE.DONE enjoy!
